From: Natural language processing to identify lupus nephritis phenotype in electronic health records
SLE case cohort selection process. We identified 1052 SLE patients who met at least 3 ACR criteria based on physician chart review. Among these 1052 patients, we further identified 878 patients who also met SLICC classification criteria. Among the 878 patients, 818 patients were in NMEDW. We further restricted our study cohort to patients who had at least 4 encounters in the NMEDW which left 472 patients in the final cohort.
