Users can search, review, add and delete HPO terms by having the Progress Notes open side by side for clinical analysis. The search is based on an external API built by NCBO BioPortal, which gets the HPO data from the HPO site. We store a copy of the full HPO data locally into our local application server and use it to populate the HPO details such as HPO name, description, synonyms, superclasses, subclasses and HPO gene association. Terms are discretely stored in the EHR, and pushed to Epic Chronicles, and daily to Epic Clarity and our proprietary CHOP data warehouse, and can be imported into the clinical note directly for use in other downstream pipelines, or downloaded from Clarity by direct SQL query by authorized researchersBack to article page
